Held Accountable: A Comparative Analysis of Public Liability in Executing Judgement for Flood Damage
One of our attorneys, Samantha Kennedy, recently authored “Held Accountable:  A Comparative Analysis of Public Liability in Executing Judgments for Flood Damage” in the Louisiana State University Journal of Energy Law and Resources.  The article appears in Volume IX, Issue 2, Spring 2021, and provides a timely comparative look at state liability schemes with the following focus:  If a state can be found liable under its own state laws for flood damage, what are the mechanisms for enforcing judgment?    The article provides unique insight into a multi-billion dollar issue for state governments and victims of flood damage.   We are proud of Samantha for her contribution in this emerging area of law.
